Welcome to the 2019 NMRA Doubles-Only Championships, December 6-8, 2019. It is going to be a great time in Atlanta! We hope you will come out for the player information meetings at 5:15 pm and 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, to get all of your questions answered. We will offer several identical meetings for the early and late arrivers.

Please plan to come out to the Atlanta area early to visit Stone Mountain or even drive over to Hilton Head! There is so much to do, as you will see on the Things To Do list.
For this three-day tourney, the first event is $85; second is $25–we recently reduced our prices. You don’t have to have one mixed doubles event, but we hope you will, as it makes the Mixed doubles stronger. You may request a doubles partner and/or a roommate and we will do our best. For the 70+ players, we will be offering a special second division where players play with and against all of the other partners (limit of 16 entrants) to gain points and have one player crowned champion. We call it Rotating Partner Doubles or Jackpot Doubles. Most likely 70 to 74-year-olds will be in one division and 75+ will be in another. Of course, regular set-partner doubles will also be available.
Enter online by November 21, or send in a US mail entry by November 17. You’ll get food and fun all week, in addition to our famous banquet slideshow and a great tournament shirt.
No refunds will be allowed after November 21, when shirts will have been ordered and matches scheduled.
One special note about the hotel (the Sonesta Gwinnett Place): PLEASE RESERVE YOUR ROOM EARLY. We have only reserved 26 rooms, but we can get more if those fill up before our deadline. The hotel is about four miles from the club, and the Friday night banquet will be at the hotel in the banquet
The club will be Recreation ATL in Lilburn. We have all 7 courts. These courts are panel-walled and some have back glass. Thanks to Jason Chan and his crew for allowing us to use the facility.
Because of the great location, the all-round-robin format of matches, and the fact that we only have 7 courts for this tournament, we anticipate that the number of players will be capped at about 100. Of course, a waiting list will be created at that point, because 40+ players always have an injury or last-second conflict. We hope we will be able to accommodate everyone.
