New Certified Referee

JohnWilsonThe Georgia Racquetball Players Association is proud to congratulate our newest USA Racquetball certified referee, John Wilson!

We wish him and the other two Georgia racquetball players attending the USA National Championship tournament all of the best luck!

The USA Racquetball National Championship tournament pays certified referees a significantly better fee for refereeing than they do to non-certified refs.  The Georgia Games tournament in July will follow this same standard.  All winners will referee or find a qualified replacement or forfeit their next match.  Non-certified referees receive $5.00 per match after the first required match, while certified referees will receive $10.00 per match after the first required match.

Information (and a website walkthrough) about how to become a certified referee online is available here:  http://jt-rb.com/how-to-become-a-certified-racquetball-referee-online/

Collegiate Racquetball

      Comments Off on Collegiate Racquetball

College campuses are frequently the first exposure a young person will have to the game of racquetball.  Some colleges will have racquetball as a class that can be taken for physical education credit.  Others will have intramural leagues and even club teams that play against other colleges.  The GRPA supports collegiate racquetball in all of its many forms and has added a page to help connect those athletes.  Let us know if you attend (or work at or teach at) a college or university that isn’t on our list.  All of the facilities have also been added to the Courts page.
